Made quarantine even though fully-vaccinated

Soon after moving to the UK I had close contact with a covid-infected individual. The rules in the UK say that if you are fully vaccinated you only need to take a pcr test and not quarantine at all. However, if the vaccination is not done by the NHS it is not considered sufficient. I had to quarantine for 10 days. This was covered in Icelandic media.
